The client came with a very clear image of what he needed in a label: nautical, hand drawn, inspired by American traditional tattoo design, centered around the blue ring octopus, the brands mascot.

The logo mark came first, with the “B” and “R” arranged in tandem with the anchor form. When designing the label we knew we wanted to carry that imagery over to the label keeping the two designs cohesive. The anchor frames a floral warning sign, to play on the irony of the blue ring octopus being a dangerously venomous creature that is smaller than the palm of your hand.
